In 2009, a contract dispute arose between Company A (a subsidiary of a real estate development company) and Company B (later transferred to Company C). The case went through multiple legal proceedings including first-instance trial, appeal, retrial, procuratorate protest, enforcement objection, and reconsideration, becoming a protracted legal battle.

Partner Cheng Shaofei and his team began representing Company A in enforcement proceedings in 2015. During representation, they discovered material errors in the original effective judgment that served as the enforcement basis - a judgment that had been effective for over ten years.
